Terrace tiling, re-jointing or repair.

A terrace that looks worn does not always need to be done over completely. We lay new tiles on a balcony or terrace, prepare the base of a roof terrace, renew the joints and repair a drain. What can stay, stays.

What we do

New tiles on terrace or balcony

In Knokke we fitted the balcony terrace of an apartment with new tiles, with scaffolding on the façade. We also laid a garage floor in large tiles with a levelling system, so everything lies flat. Ceramic tiles, natural stone or concrete: we look at the base first.

Preparing a roof terrace

Before a new finish, the base of a roof terrace has to be clean and level. We clean the screed, remove old adhesive and joint residue and clear the drain, as with the roof terrace we prepared for its new finish.

Re-jointing and drains

Washed-out joints let a terrace sink and weeds grow. We clear the terrace of weeds and re-joint it, as with a paver terrace in Ostend. A drain with a broken frame or cover gets a new frame and cover, set neatly into the terrace.

In an apartment

On a high floor we work within the building’s rules: hours, lift, parking and if needed scaffolding or a lift platform. Mention the floor and the access in your request.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you re-tile a balcony terrace?

Yes. In Knokke we did that for an apartment, with scaffolding on the façade. Send photos and the surface area.

Do the old tiles have to come out?

Not always. We look at the base: sometimes it can be tiled over, sometimes the old finish has to go first.

Do you also do just the re-jointing?

Yes. Weeds out, cleaned and re-jointed, without replacing the tiles.

Is it possible for a garage floor or entrance too?

Yes. We laid a garage floor in large tiles; an entrance or storeroom can be done the same way.
